Yield Analyst

This position is accountable for compiling, analyzing and reporting on online pricing and inventory trends to support key decisions about the company’s sales programs and to understand past performance. Responsibilities span the operations, product and yield management departments of SheKnows Media. The focus of this position is to maintain yield in both pricing and inventory across the SheKnows Media extensive network and to manage optimizations of underperforming campaigns. 

The Work

  • Analyze product data from YieldEx in order to  price and forecast digital inventory across multiple platforms
  • Reporting both scheduled and adhoc  on revenue and delivery across all online products and placements for all departments within the organization.
  • Works with sales teams, site general managers and other users to provide KPI reporting, and provide analytic support to those groups.
  • Work with salespeople on RFPs to best manage pricing and inventory decisions
  • Analyses sales data from the Operative booking database to report on financial and industry trends that drive revenue and communicate complex analysis to senior management
  • Works through the Operative system to approve orders for inventory and pricing
  • Utilizes historical data to support strategic decisions about new sales programs developed with marketing and business development and
  • Works with the Associate Director of Revenue Strategy to determine effectiveness of product sales to support decision making for all new products and packages
  • Work with both Client Services and Ad Operations to assist in client optimizations so that revenue is maintained

The Fine Print

  • 1 year working within an online advertising operations team using one or more internet ad serving system (i.e. DART, 24/7, Real Media, etc.) preferred
  • Expert level Excel modeling experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast paced environment while managing multiple projects and tight deadlines
  • Strong analytical, strategic and creative problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in person, over email and on the phone
  • BA/BS College degree strongly preferred
  • Detailed oriented and highly motivated
  • Strong computer applications skills (Excel, Word, Access – required)
